Keep my mobile usage under control with Android

There are 3 ways to keep your mobile data usage under control:

  1. The my scarlet app: The easiest way to keep your mobile usage under control is to download the my scarlet app in the Play Store. If you run into any problem after installing the app, visit our I have a question about the my scarlet appOpens a new window page. Please note that the app does not allow you to block your mobile data in case you exceed your bundle.
  2. The mon.scarlet customer zone: You can monitor your usageOpens a new window in your mon.scarlet customer zone. On mon.scarlet, you can manage your product usage warnings by clicking on the Settings button in the Home tab.
Please note: these warnings do not block your usage.
  3. Your smartphone: Since the 4.0 update (Ice Cream Sandwich), Android users can keep their usage under control by directly using the settings of their smartphone. You can set a cap that your smartphone will not exceed. You can also set up a cycle. This way, your mobile phone will be synced with your Scarlet billing period. To set a data limit, your mobile data must be enabled. Go to Settings > Connection > Data Usage and enable Mobile Data. The Billing Cycle section should now be available.

When tapping Billing Cycle, you should have the option to configure your cap by choosing Set Data Limit.
Please note: there is a chance your smartphone and Scarlet calculate your mobile data differently. To avoid any unpleasant surprises, we advise you to set your phone to a limit slightly lower than the limit included in your mobile subscription.

It is also in this menu that you can configure a billing period in sync with the Scarlet billing period. In the example below, we have configured the billing period to start on the 15th of the month. Usage will then be reset to zero every 15th of the month.

It is also possible to create a warning that will be sent to you when the limit you have configured is exceeded.
Please note: this warning will not block the use of mobile data.
