When you download your e-mail messages via your personal e-mail program, they are no longer stored on our e-mail servers unless you have activated the option to leave a copy of the messages on the server.

To prevent your mailbox from quickly reaching its maximum volume, it's better to deactivate this option. If you still want to activate this option, it's recommended that you don't keep the messages for more than two days.

To disable this option in the most common e-mail programs:

  1. Click on Extra (Tools) and select Account Setup.
  2. Select the e-mail account you want to modify and click on the Properties button.
  3. Go to the Advanced tab.
  4. Uncheck the Leave a copy of messages on server checkbox and click OK.
  1. From the Mail menu, select Preferences and then Accounts.
  2. Select the e-mail account you want to change.
  3. Go to the Advanced tab.
  4. Check the Remove message from server after download checkbox and select Immediately.
  5. Save the changes.
  1. Click on Extra (Tools) and select Account Setup.
  2. Select the e-mail account you wish to modify and select Server settings.
  3. Uncheck the Leave a copy of messages on server checkbox and click OK.
