How is the installation done by the technician?

The technician will come to your home to activate your connection to the telephone exchange in your neighbourhood. If necessary, or if there is not yet one, the technician will replace or place a telephone jack. The modem is connected to this phone jack.

The modem is normally configured remotely but, if necessary, the technician will configure it manually.

Are you an Internet customer?

  • If you are using wireless Internet, be sure to ask the technician to help you set up your wireless connection.

Are you a fixed-line customer?

  • If you are a former Proximus customer and you have requested the transfer of your current number, this may take a few days. We will terminate your telephone connection with Proximus after the transfer of your number. It is important that you do not terminate the connection yourself. You have to cancel all other products with Proximus yourself after the installation of your Scarlet connection.
  • If you have requested a new number or if you have requested the transfer of your current number from another operator than Proximus, the Scarlet telephone connection is activated the same day.

Are you a TV customer?

  • Don't forget to ask the technician to help you make your remote control universal, so that you can control your television with it.
  • If you wish to have a 2nd decoder for a 2nd television, ask for it directly during the installation.
    In order to make the TV connection, it is necessary in some cases to purchase a wireless solution. The technician will provide you with more information on this subject.
