How to reboot my Devolo (PLC adapter)?

To reboot the Devolo adapters:

  • Unplug the Devolo adapters from the modem and the decoder(s).
  • Plug the Devolo adapters back in.

If all the LEDs on the Devolo adapters are green, the connection between your adapters is working. While this does not necessarily indicate a problem, if some of the LEDs are not green, be sure to check the adapters.

Orange

The adapter is in standby mode, as there is no data transfer. When the data transfer resumes, the adapter will be reactivated.

Off

Either the adapter is not plugged into the power socket, or the power socket or the Devolo adapter is faulty. Test the adapter on a different power socket.

Orange

Only SD images can be broadcast.

Red or Off

Check the cabling between the Devolo adapter and the modem and between the Devolo adapter(s) and the decoder(s).
Still running into the issue? Reset the Devolo adapters.

Off

No device is connected to the Devolo adapter or the device is not turned on. Check the cabling between the Devolo adapter and the modem and between the Devolo adapter(s) and the decoder(s). Turn on the modem and the decoder(s).

Make sure the Devolo adapter is properly plugged into the TV1 or TV2 port of the modem and check the connection between the Devolo adapter(s) and the decoders.

Reset the Devolo adapters as follows:

  • Keep the button next to the cable entry of the Devolo adapter pressed for about 20 seconds until the Power LED goes out. Do this for both adapters.

  • Now plug the two adapters into 2 power sockets, preferably in the same room.
  • Keep the button next to the cable entry of each Devolo adapter pressed for 1 second.
  • Wait until all LEDs on the Devolo adapters light up. You can then plug them back in at their original spot. Don't forget to plug the cable to the modem and the decoder(s) back in.
