If your address is eligible for fiber, you can upgrade your subscription to 200 Mbps download and 20 Mbps upload for an extra €10/month, valid for all our fiber Internet subscriptions and packs.

Easy installation

If available at your address, fiber will be the default option for installation. It is compatible with unlimited Internet offers and our packs. Nothing changes for you: the price remains unchanged, but you get a more advanced connection.

Is Scarlet fiber available where I live?

Fiber is gradually being rolled out in Belgium, with over 30% of our new customers already connected to the fiber network. To find out if fiber is already available where you live, do an eligibility test. This will tell you whether your address is fiber-compatible or whether you'll have to wait a little longer.

Scarlet fiber installation

  1. Bringing fiber to your street

    This first step doesn't require any action on your part. Proximus technicians install fiber cables in each neighborhood street by street. Most of the time, these works go unnoticed, but for technical reasons it may be necessary to do some trenching.

Scarlet fiber: cutting-edge technology

Unlike other operators such as Orange, Telenet or VOO, who use old cabling for the final meters, Scarlet fiber doesn't use copper at all, which makes all the difference.
This FTTH (Fiber-to-the-Home) technology ensures a more stable connection.

Once fiber has been rolled out in your street, the time needed to bring fiber to your home can vary. The works can take 2 to 4 hours, but the Internet will only be down for a few minutes, so you can get on with what you are doing.

All you have to do is ask. If you are a tenant, your landlord cannot object to your choice of operator. Nor to the installation of fiber at your request. However, we strongly advise you to inform him or her in advance.

Yes, the installation of fiber in your street is completely free of charge. You only pay for the installation and/or activation of your services.
