Choosing the mobile network abroad

When you are abroad, your device automatically connects to a partner operator's network. By default, it is recommended to let your device manage this connection automatically.

In Belgium, your device automatically connects to the Proximus network.

Below we explain how to manually select the mobile network when you are abroad.

  • Open Settings.
  • Tap on Mobile service.
  • Then tap on Network selection.
  • Turn off the Automatic option.
  • Your device will now search for available mobile networks.
  • Select the mobile network you want to use.

Your device is now connected to the selected network.

  • Open Settings.
  • Tap on Connections, then on Mobile networks.
  • Select Network operators.
  • Turn off the Select automatically option.
  • Your device will now search for available mobile networks.
  • Select the network you want to use manually.

Your device is now connected to the selected network.
