What about MyScarlet?
If you want to discontinue or take over products, it is helpful to find and check this information in MyScarlet. Check out our tips for the different situations below.
- Do you want to access the deceased person's MyScarlet account?
You don't know the deceased person’s username or password? If you have access to his or her email account, you can request the username and create a new password. If that doesn't work, it's better to register for MyScarlet yourself. To do this, you need the deceased person’s customer number, activation code + date. If you do not have access to a recent bill sent to the deceased person, you can have this information sent to you by SMS or by post.
- Do you want to close the deceased person's MyScarlet account?
Start by transferring the products to your name if necessary and check that they are visible in your MyScarlet account. Thereafter, you can close the deceased person's MyScarlet account. A few months after the cancellation or transfer, we will anyway, automatically delete the deceased person's entire MyScarlet account.
- Do you want to manage the products you have taken over in your own MyScarlet account?
If you have a MyScarlet account and have the products put in your name, they will automatically appear in your MyScarlet. However, past bills will be retained in the MyScarlet account of the deceased person.
